Baby Alligator Found Roaming Streets of Southwest Albuquerque

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) -- Officials captured a baby alligator that was roaming the streets of southwest Albuquerque Monday morning, ABC affiliate KOAT-TV reports.

Residents reported seeing an alligator walking around a South Valley neighborhood at 6:30 a.m. Police quickly captured the two and a half foot reptile and will turn it over to animal control.

Police said the alligator was most likely someone's pet.
