Body Found in Rio San Jose Identified

(GRANTS, N.M.) A body discovered in the Rio San Jose in Grants has been identified, the Cibola Beacon reports.

An official said an adult jogger noticed the body floating in the water Wednesday night. The body has been identified as that of 33-year-old Desmond Chavez.

State police said Chavez's cause of death will not be verified until an autopsy is released later on Friday.
