Fireworks Ban Passed in Albuquerque

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) -- The Albuquerque City Council has voted to pass a new law that would prohibit the use of certain types of fireworks within city limits, according to ABC affiliate KOAT-TV.

Fireworks that remain on the ground are the only fireworks allowed within city limits.  The City Council hopes the ban will reduce the number of wildfires in the area, according to the report.
