Governor's Plane Crash Landed in Santa Fe, No Injuries

(SANTA FE, N.M.) -- A private plane carrying Gov. Susana Martinez and her husband, Chuck Franco, crash landed in Sante Fe Wednesday night, The Albuquerque Journal reports.

The plane landed at Sante Fe Municipal Airport without its landing gear. The governor's spokesperson said there were no injuries. Spokesman Scott Darnell said the district attorney for the 9th Judicial District, Matt Chandler, was also on the plane, but was not injured, the paper says.

The emergency landing occurred around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. Darnell said that high crosswinds forced the pilot to circle the airport when they approached for landing, lifting the landing gear, which failed to re-deploy when they landed, according to the Journal.

Darnell said the plane had some damage.
