Isleta Blvd. Blocked Due to Accident

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) -- On Monday afternoon, a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a telephone pole and fire hydrant, which caused the closure of Isleta Boulevard, reports ABC affiliate KOAT-TV.

The vehicle fled the accident near the 1300 block of Isleta Boulevard SW. Both the telephone pole and hyrant were damaged.

Isleta Boulevard is closed in both directions until authorities arrive to determine the best course of action.

Officials say it was a hit-and-run accident, but they do not have any suspects yet.
