Man Found Guilty of Raping Paralyzed, Wheelchair-Bound Girl

(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) -- A 36-year-old man was found guilty on Thursday of kidnapping and aggravated sexual abuse of a minor.

Stanton Begay was found guilty by a jury at an Albuquerque court after a four-day trial.

Authorities said on December 12, 2010, Begay forcefully prevented the victim -- a wheelchair-bound 15-year-old girl, paralyzed from the waist down -- from leaving a home in Prewitt, then physically assaulted and raped the victim.
