(ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.) -- Jordan Benjamin Apachito has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for shooting and wounding another man in June of last year.

The sentence was handed down to Apachito in an Albuquerque courtroom on Tuesday. Apachito pled guilty in March to charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

Authorities said on June 24, 2011, Apachito shot a 22-year-old man in the stomach with a 12-gauge shotgun while both men were at Apachito's home.
