New Wildfire Breaks Out Near Whitewater-Baldy Complex Fire

(ARAGON, N.M.) -- Another wildfire was reported in the Gila Wilderness Tuesday, near the massive Whitewater-Baldy Complex fire that is burning its way to becoming the largest in New Mexico’s history, ABC News Albuquerque affiliate KOAT-TV reports.

The new, nearly 5-acre fire was dubbed the Wagon Tongue Fire. The fire is approximately 15 miles northeast of Reserve, N.M., near Aragon.

It was not immediately reported if any structures were damaged or threatened by its path.

Crews fighting the Whitewater-Baldy fire were transferred to help contain the Wagon Tongue Fire.
