Ashley Carnevale Found Guilty of Murdering Woman Last Year

(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) -- A woman charged with fatally shooting a woman in Windsor last year was found guilty of murder in Broome County Court Wednesday.

Ashley Carnevale, 22, was found guilty of murder, attempted assault and attempted robbery.  Her husband and accomplice in the shooting, Anthony Carnevale, 23, pled guilty to murder and attempted murder in October of 2009.

In January of 2009, the Carnevales broke into a home on Kent Street in an attempt to rob prescription drugs from its resident, Ethan Button.  Shots were fired during the break in, killing 39-year-old Jean Clark, who was at Button's home at the time, and wounding Button.

Ashley will be sentenced in March and could face life in prison.
