Broome Busts 14 People for $41,000 Welfare Fraud

(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) -- Broome County arrested 14 people Thursday on charges of welfare fraud, according to our ABC affiliate WIVT-TV.

Exactly $41,717.93 of benefits was given to the arrested individuals who were not entitled to the funds.

The following people were arrested: Heather Zareski, 29; John D. Lowe, 42; Shanda C. Rollison, 27; Susan Koziol, 50; Crystal R. Briggs, 30; William Vanderpool, 31; William Vanderpool, 31; Alan Vigus, 30; Jennifer M. Twining, 25; Lillian C. Holcomb, 38; Robert Osborne, 42; Raymond E. Roth, 60; David Rexer, 40; and Tosha Love, 45.

All the defendants are currently being arraigned in Binghamton City Court throughout July.
