Man Charged in Death of Vestal Teen

(VESTAL, N.Y.) -- A 19-year-old man has been arrested as police continue to investigate the death of 16-year-old girl in Vestal.

Authorities were called to a home on Westland Road early Thursday morning, where Shelby Jenkins was found unresponsive. Jenkins was taken to an area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police have since arrested Steven Lipka in connection with the girl's death. Lipka is charged with second-degree murder.
