NYSDOT to Conduct Rock Excavation Operations along Prospect Mountain

(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) -- The New York State Department of Transportation announced Friday that crews will conduct rock excavation operations along Prospect Mountain next week, ABC affiliate WIVT/WBGH-TV reports.

The work will take place Monday, Aug. 6 through Thursday, Aug. 9, between 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. On Aug. 10, work will occur between 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. New York State Police will administer rolling slow-downs at one point between those hours at various points along Interstate 81, State Route 17 and Interstate 88.

NYSDOT wants to remind motorists that fines are doubled for work zone infractions.
