Woman Taken to Hospital after Crash on Conklin Avenue

(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) -- One woman was transported to the hospital after an SUV crashed into her pickup truck Thursday morning, ABC affiliate WIVT/WBGH-TV reports.

The accident occurred at the corner of Conklin Avenue and Exchange Street bridge around 10:30 a.m. An 18-year-old driver of an SUV tried to turn from Conklin Ave. onto the Exchange Street bridge and reportedly didn't see the woman's westbound pickup truck. Both vehicles were extensively damaged and were towed.

The teen received a ticket for failing to yield the right of way.

There was no word on the woman's condition.
