Birmingham Police Investigate Body Discovered as Homicide

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) -- Birmingham police discovered a body inside a residence Friday morning and are investigating the incident as a homicide, ABC affiliate 33/40 reports.
Officers responded to a home in the 700 block of 78th Street South around 10:30 a.m. to check on the welfare of the resident. Upon arrival, they found the body of Peter Hargrove inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide due to the evidence found inside the home.
