Blaine Galliher Named State Legislative Director

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) -- On Thursday, Gov. Robert Bentley named State Representative Blaine Galliher as the Legislative Director starting Aug. 1, according to ABC affiliate WCFT/WJSU-TV.

Galliher represents District 30, which covers the majority of Calhoun and Etowah counties. His been in this post since 1994 when he was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives.

A special election will be called to fill the District 30 seat in the House of Representatives.
