Gadsden Police Arrest Murder Suspect

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) -- Police arrested a man wanted on murder and attempted murder warrants early Monday morning, ABC affiliate 33/40 reports.

Jonterio Walker is accused of fatally shooting Corion Jackson and attempting to kill his brother Jeffery Montez Jackson. The Gulf Coast U.S. Marshall's Taskforce contacted Gadsden police after receiving a tip about Walker's whereabouts. Officers surrounded an apartment on Newton Street early Monday morning and knocked on the door. Walker tried escaping through a back window, but then surrendered.

He is being held on two $100,000 cash bonds at the Etowah County Jail. A female was also arrested and taken to the Etwoah County Jail.
