Man Charged with Raping Girl Eight Years Ago

(TUSCALOOSA, Ala.) -- Police in Tuscaloosa have arrested a 41-year-old man, who they say raped a child approximately eight years ago.

Kelvin Dewayne Crutchfield was arrested on Tuesday and charged with two counts of rape and one count of sexual abuse. The alleged incident reportedly happened when the suspect was 33-years-old and the female victim was age nine. However, a report wasn't filed until April.

Crutchfield is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $135,000 bond.
