State-Appointed CFO to Report to Board of Education

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) -- State-appointed Chief Financial Officer Dr. Ed Richardson will present the state's findings on governance issues with the Birmingham Board of Education on Tuesday, ABC affiliate 33/40 reports.
 
The state team was sent to investigate after the board attempted to terminate Superintendent Dr. Craig Witherspoon.

The findings of the report will be used to draft a response to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. A response is due by October 1.
