Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Fatal Crash
(IDAHO FALLS, Idaho) -- A 24-year-old man was sentenced to two 10 year prison sentences for the death of a passenger and seriously injuring a man as a result of a drunken driving crash in 2010.
According to the Idaho State Journal, Cody McDermott-Reid was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and aggravated driving under the influence in September for causing an accident which resulted in the death of Angie Large and the maiming of Michaela Bjarnson.
McDermott-Reid, who at the time of the accident had a blood alcohol level of .144 which was nearly twice the legal limit of .08, will serve the sentences concurrently minus two years of time served.
