Proposal Would Allow Alcohol at Boise State Football Tailgates
(BOISE, Idaho) -- City officials are considering a proposal that would make drinking alcohol in certain public areas legal before Boise State University football games.
According to the Idaho Statesman, the preliminary proposal would allow drinking, starting about four hours before kickoff, and would mark specific areas where drinking alcohol would be allowed.
All laws regarding underage drinking, disorderly conduct and drinking and driving would remain in effect.
If the proposal is accepted, the city would review the policy at the end of the coming football season to determine if it should continue. City officials believe the proposal could allow them to better enforce the laws while allowing people to enjoy themselves.
Drinking is not allowed inside Bronco Stadium.
