Man Arrested for Drug Possession After Traffic Stop

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A driver who was pulled over for making an illegal U-turn on Thursday ended with a drug arrest.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Stuart Milstead, 21, was pulled over near Amber and Bond Streets. Police then noticed multiple bottles of prescription drugs in the vehicle. Milstead admitted that there were illegal drugs in the car, and the ensuing police search found marijuana, a pipe and three bottles of prescription medication that did not belong to Milstead, says the Statesman.

Milstead was booked into Ada County Jail on two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Man Arrested in Connection with 26 Burglaries

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise police arrested a man on Thursday afternoon who they believe is responsible for 26 burglaries involving small businesses.

Police arrested David Scott Campbell, 29, at his home on Thursday. According to the Boise Police Department, the initial burglary occurred on January 8. And between that date and March 20, police had received a total of 30 similar reports. In most of the cases, Campbell stole cash from the businesses.

The case was broken when Campbell was linked to a debit card stolen in one of the burglaries. He currently faces one count of burglary, but police believe they can connect him to 26 of the 30 burglaries in recent months.

Cops: Boise Man Attacks Roommate with Tree Branch

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Boise man has been arrested after he allegedly attacked his roommate with a tree branch on Thursday afternoon.

The incident was reported around 4 p.m. at a home on the 3600 block of North Collister, where both the suspect and the victim reside. Witnesses told police that suspect Jason Cochrane got into an argument with his roommate over an ongoing dispute, and at some point it's alleged that Cochrane struck the victim on the arm and the head with a two-foot long piece of wood.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Cochrane is charged with aggravated battery.

Police Hope to Identify Woman Suspected of Credit Card Theft

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Police are searching for a woman who is wanted for credit card theft.

On Thursday, the Boise Police Department released a photograph of the suspect taken from a security camera in a local store.

Police believe that the card was stolen during a March 31 car burglary.

Anyone with information about the woman is urged to call police at (208) 343-COPS.

Biker Falls from Mountain Trail 

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Paramedics managed to retrieve a cyclist who fell from a mountain biking trail on Wednesday.

According to the Idaho Statesman, the cyclist was a man in his 70s. While he was on the trail, he fell about 200 feet into a ravine near Bogus Basin Road. The man was apparently an experienced cyclist.

Steep terrain made the rescue difficult, according to the Statesman, but a high angle rescue team reached the man.

The cyclist was transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. His condition is not known.
