Cops Taser Sword-Carrying Man Dressed in Loin Cloth
(BOISE, Idaho) -- A man dressed in a loin cloth and carrying a sword was arrested by Boise police on Thursday after threatening a local church employee, officials said.
Police said on Thursday morning they were called to a church on the 1600 block of W. Martha Street, where witnesses told officers that a man dressed in a loin cloth and a Samurai-style headband tried to enter the church while carrying a large Samurai sword and a dagger. When denied entry, witnesses said the man became agitated and threatened a church employee.
The suspect -- identified as 24-year-old Jeffrey S. Arnold II -- fled the scene, with officers then tracking him down and reportedly having to use a Taser while taking him into custody.
Arnold is charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
