Officials Hunt for Mountain Lion Spotted Near Boise State Campus

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise police and Idaho Fish and Game officials are hunting for a mountain lion that police saw north of Boise State campus early Monday morning, The Idaho Statesman reports.

Authorities at Boise State University sent out messages to students, warning them to be on the lookout for the animal, as someone else spotted the animal running east on the Greenbelt near the Friendship Bridge around 6 a.m, the paper says.

Police say that anyone who sees the mountain lion should call 911. If anyone sees things like tracks, they should call Ada County dispatchers at 377-6790.
