Police Disarm Pipe Bomb Found in Nampa
(NAMPA, Idaho) -- Police found a pipe bomb about a block away from the Canyon County Courthouse Annex Thursday, according to KIVI-TV, ABC's Boise affiliate.
Nampa police say they got a call around 11:30 a.m. saying a mail carrier had found an explosive. They issued a voluntary evacuation notice to the apartment buildings near the device, which consisted of a metal pipe filled with gunpowder.
Police used a robot to fire a round into the device to disarm it. An investigation is currently underway.
