No Injuries Reported After Driver Flips SUV

(BOISE, Idaho) -- There were no injuries reported after a car accident on Highway 55 on Tuesday morning.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Brian Dusho, 42, was driving south when he lost control of the vehicle going around a curve. His SUV left the lane he had been driving in and steered into oncoming traffic.

Dusho overcorrected, ending up flipping the vehicle on its side before it came to rest in the northbound lane.

There were no injuries as all of the SUV's occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Traffic was blocked on the northbound side for nearly two hours, said the Statesman.

Traffic Stop Leads to Methamphetamine Arrest

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A woman was arrested during a traffic stop on Monday after police found methamphetamine in her car.

According to the Boise Police Department, Tabatha Christensen, 29, was spotted with her vehicle straddling the double yellow lines on the road. When a police officer pulled her over, they determined that she had a suspended license and an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

Police later searched the car and found a baggie that passed a field test for methamphetamine. Christensen also had syringes and needles on her person at the time of her arrest.

Christensen was booked at Ada County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without privileges and the outstanding warrant.

Loaded Gun Found in Boise Airport Passenger's Bag

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A Meridian woman has been cited after a loaded gun was found in her carry-on baggage at Boise Airport last Friday.

Mia Gussie, 31, was cited after a .380 caliber Ruger firearm, loaded with six rounds of ammunition, was found in a bag at a security checkpoint during a routine screening. Russie was a passenger bound for San Francisco, Calif.

Officials later determined that she did possess a valid concealed weapons permit.

This is the fourth firearm the Transportation Security Administration has found in carry-on baggage at the airport for the year.

Woman Wanted on Drug Charges Caught During Traffic Stop

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A woman with an outstanding warrant for felony possession of methamphetamines was arrested Monday night during a traffic stop, according to police.

Alexandra M. Lafollette, 22, was driving east on Rose Hill Street at 11:16 p.m. when an officer at the intersection of South Owyhee and West Rose Streets saw that her car did not have a front license plate.

The officer pulled Lafollette over, and upon running her ID, found that she had an outstanding arrest warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance with a $15,000 bond. A drug detection K9 named Jackson was called to the scene and alerted officers to a pipe allegedly used for smoking marijuana.

Lafollette was taken to the Ada County Jail for the felony warrant and was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Boise to Amend Rules Regarding Age to Enter Massage Parlor

(BOISE, Idaho) -- The city of Boise will remove a requirement that minors must have written permission from their parents before they can enter a massage parlor.

The proposed mandatory permission was seen as a way to prevent minors from going to massage parlors where prostitution takes place, but according to the Idaho Statesman, some massage therapists were concerned about the difficulty of verifying ages of people entering their businesses.

The city plans to rewrite the ordinance and allow children under 18 to enter a massage parlor as long as a parent or guardian is with them.

According to the Statesman, the Boise City Council will vote on the proposal on Tuesday night, and the rules could take effect by the end of the month.

Firefighters Contain Small Grass Fire

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise firefighters were able to put out a relatively small grass fire that broke out north of Boise Tuesday morning, the Idaho Statesman reports.

The fire burned nearly a half-acre of land near the intersection of Cartwright and Dry Creek Roads. Dispatchers said that the fire threatened a neighboring home, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze.

There were no damages or injuries. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Man Arrested in Ongoing Heroin Trafficking Investigation

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Boise Police Narcotic Detectives arrested a man Saturday as part of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of heroin.

Detectives obtained evidence that Chadwick D. Pasquini, a 21-year-old Garden City man, had sold approximately 26 grams of heroin Saturday at a home near Riverside Drive and North River Cove Lane in Garden City.

Authorities searched the residence and found an additional 29 grams total package weight of heroin.

Pasquini was taken to the Ada County Jail, and charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Police Arrest Suspect in Friday Assault

(BOISE, Idaho) -- On Sunday, Boise Police arrested the man accused of violating a no-contact order and assaulting a woman on Friday.

Jaret A. Frownfelter, 34, allegedly violated the order by visiting the victim at her home on the evening of June 14. Police say that Frownfelter and the woman became involved in an argument, and he began to assault her.

The victim told police that Frownfelter threw several household items at her and pinned her beneath a mattress.

The incident was reported to the Boise Police on Sunday, and officers soon located Frownfelter and arrested him without incident. He was booked in the Ada County Jail and charged with felony aggravated assault and a violation of a no-contact order.

Firefighters Extinguish Monday Morning Barn Fire

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Firefighters are extinguishing the last of a blaze that destroyed a barn in Middleton early Monday morning.

Fire crews from Middleton, Star and Caldwell were all called to the scene, according to the Idaho Statesman.

The fire did not damage any other buildings and no one was injured in the fire.

California Man Arrested at Boise Motel on Prostitution Charges

(BOISE, Idaho) -- A California man has been charged with procurement of prostitution and receiving the funds of a prostitute, following an incident at a Boise motel on Thursday evening.

Police say they were called to the motel on North Curtis Road on a report of a disturbance, and at the scene Marcus Griffin, 25, of San Diego, Calif. was arrested on the previously mentioned charges.

Police say Griffin got into a dispute with a female at the motel, and it was determined that he allegedly had been involved in arranging the activities of two prostitutes at the motel.
