Woman Punches Attempted Robber in Alley, Suspect Flees 

(BOISE, Idaho) -- Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in an alley Monday morning, ABC affiliate KIVI-TV reports.

A woman told police that a man tried to grab her purse as she walked down an alley near 11th Street and Thatcher just after 8:30 a.m. She told police she punched the suspect, who fled without her purse. Paramedics treated her for an injury to her hand from striking the suspect.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned adult man, approximately 50 years old, with very short hair, a large gotee mustache and beard. He was wearing a black zip up jacket and blue jeans.
