(NEW YORK) -- The Legoland Hotel opened in Carlsbad, Calif., last Friday. Just outside the front gate of Legoland in California, it’s the first hotel of its kind in North America.
The 250 guest rooms are themed, so families can choose from one of three lines -- Pirate, Kingdom or Adventure. Rooms include two separate sleeping areas, with a queen-size bed for grown-ups and a separate area for up to three kids.
Kids’ areas have a bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and a TV. In the hotel, there’s a heated swimming pool, Lego-themed buffet restaurant and themed elevators. There’s also nightly kids’ entertainment.
Legoland Hotel guests get entry to select Legoland rides and attractions before the park officially opens. Rates the first weekend in May start at $339 per night.
