Gold-Plated iPhone Goes on Sale in Dubai

Gold & Co(LONDON) -- The latest must-have accessory in the flashy emirate of Dubai is a 24-carat gold-plated iPhone 5. The device was unveiled Thursday and will be selling for just under $5,000.

The London-based company designing the custom phones said the individually-numbered devices would come with a hand-crafted wooden box and certificate of authenticity, according to a Dubai newspaper.

And if the 24-carat model isn't enough, they're also rolling out a model in rose gold.
