Jobless Claims Drop Back to Lowest Level in Four Years

Spencer Platt/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- Jobless claims are back down to the lowest level in four years after rising the week before, the Labor Department reported Thursday.

For the week ending March 10, the number of people filing for benefits dropped by 14,000 to 351,000 -- the lowest tally since March 2008.  The previous week, claims stood at 365,000.

The four-week average, however, remained unchanged at 355,750.
