Positive Jobs Report Pushes Markets Higher

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- The better than expected job report boosted stock markets Friday.  All three indices ended the day with strong gains.

The surprisingly good news on jobs increased speculation that the Federal Reserve will pull back on stimulus soon.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 167.80 points to 15,761.78 for its 34th record close for the year.  The Nasdaq Composite added 61.90 points to close 3,919.23.  The S&P 500 ended the session up 23.46 points at 1,770.61.

After its second day of trading on Wall Street, Twitter (TWTR) closed at $41.64, down $3.26 or 7 percent.
