(COLUMBUS, Ga.) -- Aflac will start holding open casting calls Wednesday to find the "next voice of the Aflac Duck," the insurance provider has announced.
The duck, who was previously voiced by comedian Gilbert Gottfried for over 10 years, was left speechless after Aflac fired Gottfried for tweeting several jokes that made light of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
Those interested in filling Gottfried's shoes will be able to submit their auditions online at www.quackaflac.com starting Wednesday night. Auditions are expected to run through April, when the company hopes to air the duck's new voice.
