(CUPERTINO, Calif.) -- On the heels of a powerhouse earnings report, the company on Wednesday will unveil its new Macintosh operating system, along with new MacBook Air and Mac Mini models.
OS X Lion brings some features from the iPhone and iPad to the Mac. It'll also mark the first time Apple has released an operating system update primarily through downloads.
In other Apple news, members of the company's board of directors are reportedly looking at who might succeed Steve Jobs as CEO. Jobs has been on medical leave since January, though he appeared at an Apple event in March.
When the Wall Street Journal asked Jobs by email about the discussions, he called them, "hogwash."
