(NEW YORK) -- Windows Phone 7 is getting a major software update this fall. It's nicknamed Mango.
The Wall Street Journal's Katie Boehret was impressed with the visual and audio effects.
"They're constantly changing with updates about people or music or news or location information, and that kind of thing," she said. "And they're kind of dancing on the screen as you look at the phone...this magical whimsy is really incorporated into the phone, and I think it's very delightful to use and look at."
Mango will be available for Windows phones from all the major U.S. carriers.
