(SAN FRANCISCO) -- Groupon Inc.'s chief operating officer is returning to Google Inc. after just five months at the increasingly embattled company.
Margo Georgiadis announced her departure on Friday. Groupon acknowledged the move in a SEC regulation document filed the same day. Groupon is currently planning an initial public offering that has sparked controversy about the company's structure and actions during an SEC quiet period.
Georgiadis will serve as Google's President, Americas.
