Obama Campaign Offers Ringtone of President Singing Al Green

Shahar Azran/WireImage(WASHINGTON) -- President Obama’s Thursday rendition of the Rev. Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together“ is now available as a ringtone, courtesy of the Obama 2012 campaign.

The president sang the first few words of the soul classic at a campaign fundraising stop last week at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.

The announcement was made on the president’s twitter feed: “@BarackObama: Something fun for Monday morning-the President singing Al Green every time your phone rings. Download the ringtone: http://OFA.BO/tLYwcW.”

“I’m….” the president sang, to the delight of the crowd of 1,400 supporters, “so…in love with you….”

The president of course hopes that his supporters stay with him, loving him, “whether times are good or bad, happy or sad.”

Unfortunately for the president, most Americans aren't in a singing mood. Polls indicate that a majority of potential voters think times aren’t good, they’re bad; they’re not happy, they’re sad. An ABC News/Washington Post poll finds 68 percent of Americans believe the nation is on “the wrong track.” Fifty-one percent disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy.
