Toyota Cleared of Responsibility in Wrongful-Death Lawsuit

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- A Los Angeles jury has decided that Toyota is not liable for the death of a California woman who died when her Camry apparently accelerated and crashed.

In 2009, Noriko Uno was killed after her Camry suddenly accelerated and struck a telephone pole.

While Toyota was cleared of responsibility in this lawsuit, Kelley Blue Book executive director Jack Nerad says the Japanese automaker still faces other lawsuits over claims of sudden unintended acceleration.
