Triple-Digit Rally on Wall Street

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) -- There is no deal yet to extend the debt limit in Washington, but there is hope one can be reached. Stocks on Wall Street finished the week with another triple-digit gain. The Dow closed up 111 points to end the week at 15,237.11.
It’s the third straight day of gains for the industrials, with the Dow rising 460 points over the last three days.
Investors are still feeling optimistic that Washington is going to avoid a default on the debt and that lawmakers will end the shutdown soon.
Next week, in addition to the shutdown, the markets will turn their attention to a flood of earnings. Among the big companies reporting next week are Wal-Mart, Coca Cola, Intel, Yahoo, IBM, American Express, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Google, Morgan Stanley and General Electric.
