US Postal Service Expects Busiest Mailing Day of the Year

Joe Raedle/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- If you're heading to the post office to send off those Christmas presents Monday, expect some long lines. The U.S. Postal Service says this is the busiest mailing day of the year.

USPS estimates over 650 million pieces of mail will be processed Monday, about 130 million more than a regular day.

The Post Office says Thursday is the last day to get items in the mail, especially packages, if you want them to arrive by Christmas.
