Haley Gets Heat for Missing Teen Event

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) -- South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is being criticized for missing a teen leader event in the Palmetto State last week.

Some parents and organizers of the Palmetto Boys State and Palmetto Girls State event aren't happy with the governor as she missed the conclusion of the event on Friday, reports The State.

Haley passed up on the event, and instead was in York for an event marking the opening of a plant by Bluestar Silicones, according to information on the governor's website.
