Haley Says She Wouldn't Accept VP Nod Despite Campaigning for Romney
(LANSING, Mich.) -- Gov. Nikki Haley campaigned in Michigan on Wednesday for Mitt Romney, but said she wouldn't accept an invitation to be his vice presidential nominee or a cabinet memeber, the Detroit News reports.
Haley, who was elected in 2010 and has two-and-a-half years left in her term, said the people of South Carolina took a huge chance on her and it's her job to finish what she started. Her statements at the Ann Arbor event came as Romney launched a mobile app that will allow users to be the first to know whom he chooses to be his running mate, the paper says.
Earlier in the day, at a "Built by Us" rally, Haley criticized President Obama for the country's debt and high unemployment.
