Kimberly-Clark Workers Split $1 Million Powerball Prize

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) -- A group of 14 co-workers from the Kimberly-Clark plant in Beech Island is splitting a $1 million Powerball July 2 jackpot prize, officials announced Tuesday.

Each winner will take home approximately $48,500. The group formed more than a year ago, with each member of the self-proclaimed "Process Specialist Retirement Fund" chipping in $5 a week for the lottery.

David Adams, the group's spokesman, bought the winning ticket from the 3 Way Food Mart 6 in Warrenville. The store received a $10,000 commission for the winning ticket, with the numbers 8 - 18 - 45 - 53 - 58, PB: 35.

"We took the ticket around to all the guys, and we just kept checking the numbers over and over again,” Adams said. “We were taking pictures and high-fiving.”
