USC Gives a Second Chance to 165 Students for Admission

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) -- Around 165 students that were initially rejected by the University of South Carolina are now allowed to live and eat on campus, but will be taking classes at Airport Campus of Midlands Technical College, reports The State.

If these students are able to keep a 2.5 grade point average over the course of a year with at least 30 transferable hours, they can transfer to USC.

This program, named “Gamecock Gateway,” will be invitation only and is exclusive to students who live in South Carolina. Also, students will pay $8,000 less than USC tuition.
