Gov. Haslam Signs Legislation Banning Bath Salts in Tennessee

(NEW YORK) -- Gov. Bill Haslam signed legislation on Monday to ban the sale and manufacture of synthetic drugs, commonly referred to as "bath salts," the Bristol Herald Courier reports.

He signed the bill during a morning ceremony at a Tennessee high school, telling students that, for people whose lives were ruined by the drugs, he thought the legislation would make a difference, according to the paper.
