Chicago to Make Another Attempt at Gun Ordinance
(CHICAGO) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel of Chicago is expected to introduce a revised gun ordinance law at Wednesday's council meeting, ABC affiliate WLS-TV Chicago reports.
This marks the second attempt to draft a gun ordinance that would bar anyone with a misdemeanor conviction for a violent crime within five years from obtaining a city gun permit.
The proposal is a reaction to a federal judge's ruling last week striking down part of the city's 2010 firearm ordinance.
