Driver Killed as Semi Truck Crashes into Calumet City Home

(CALUMET CITY, Ill.) -- One person is dead after a semi truck collided with a house in Calumet City early Thursday morning.

Officials said the truck somehow collided with a car then ran off the roadway and slammed into the house located in the vicinity of Torrence Avenue and Michigan City Road, killing the driver, 37-year-old Joseph Foster.

Foster's 11-year-old daughter was in the truck with him at the time and was also injured, along with two other people.

The crash remains under investigation.
