Plane Makes Emergency Landing at O'Hare

(CHICAGO) -- A Tulsa, Okla.-bound plane that was taken out of service Wednesday for maintenance made an emergency landing at O'Hare International Airport on Thursday morning, ABC News Chicago affiliate WLS-TV reports.

American Eagle Flight 4069 carrying 28 passengers and three crew members returned to Chicago after take-off due to mechanical issues. The plane veered off the runway upon landing.

"The aircraft was taken out of service yesterday because of a similar issue. It was thoroughly inspected by our maintenance team at ORD before being put back into service," American Airlines spokesperson Matt Miller said.

No injuries were reported.
