Twelve People Arrested in Drug Bust
(CHICAGO) -- Twelve people were arrested during a drug bust on the Southeast Side, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune.
Police, who recovered $730,000 worth of drugs in the sting operation, say the Gangster Disciple gang, the Black P. Stone gang, and a Mexican cartel were responsible for running the narcotics operation. Drugs seized in the raid included marijuana, crack cocaine, and heroin.
Cops were able to build a case by using surveillance and having undercover officers buy drugs from dealers. Drug money, two guns, and five cars were also seized in the bust, according to the report.
