Woman Dies in Naperville Blaze, Husband Badly Burned
(NAPERVILLE, ILL.) -- A woman is dead and her husband was badly burned after a two-story blaze at a home in Naperville on Thursday.
The fire was reported around 9:30 a.m. after flames and smoke engulfed the couple's two-story home. Lorraine Studin, 82, could not be rescued and died after being trapped amid flames on the first floor of the house. Her husband, 80-year-old Tony Studin, managed to escape from the blaze and was transported to the hospital where he was being treated for severe burns and smoke inhalation. His current condition is unknown.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
