Colorado Adds Jobs, but Jobless Rate Rises
Photo Courtesy - ABC News(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- It's a good news, bad news scenario for job numbers in the state of Colorado. Colorado added 7,100 new jobs in October, but the state's unemployment rate went up to 8.4 percent, two-tenths of a percentage point from the month before.
Throughout the state, unemployment increased in a total of 34 counties with Cheyenne County coming in with the lowest rate at 3.5 percent, with Dolores County having the highest at 15.7 percent.
Forty other states also added jobs last month, the best showing in five months, but those gains didn't broadly reduce unemployment rates.
