Public Urinating Report Leads to Arrest of California Fugitive
(COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.) -- A call to police about a man urinating outside of a Colorado Springs business has led to the arrest of a fugitive from California, who had been on the run for 13 years.
Police say on Wednesday morning they responded to a public urination report on the 3200 block of S. Academy Blvd. After locating the suspect -- identified as Miguel Sanchez -- and running his fingerprints, officers realized that Sanchez was wanted out of Los Angeles, Calif. on a 13-year-old attempted murder case with a $2 million dollar bond.
Sanchez was then arrested.
Police say they also arrested two suspects for trying to steal the vehicle that had been loaned to Sanchez.
